Trip Down Memory Lane: Vegas 2006

I spent Thanksgiving in Las Vegas. I stayed with a friend who has a very active puppy, so I spent my time at her apartment hiding on a bookshelf hoping he wouldn't attack. I steered clear of the casinos (since I don't have my own money anyway), but did enjoy a nice visit to the Hoover Dam.


I went on the tour under the dam. It was a little scary going down so far and being under all that water. Here's a picture of one of the big pipes that the water goes through.






Later I went up on the dam. Here's a shot of me sitting near it, and another shot of the view from the dam.




Over by the visitor's center, there are some neat sculptures. There's also a sundial that has all the signs of the zodiac around it. Here's me posing with my sign, Cancer.
